Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Pequliar collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Service.

• Chat content: Messages sent through the chat interface, including uploaded files, are processed in memory by the Service to provide design analysis. Chat content is not stored after the session ends.
• Payment information: Processed entirely by PayPal. Pequliar does not store credit card numbers or bank details.
• Request logs: The backend logs HTTP requests (URL path, response time, IP address, and user agent) for operational monitoring.
• Design run logs: When a design is run, the gene symbol, mechanism, variant name, and design status are logged for quality monitoring.

Pequliar does not collect or store personal health information, medical records, genetic test results, or any data that identifies individual patients. Gene and variant queries are identifiers from public databases (ClinVar, OMIM) and are not personal health data. Uploaded files (such as genetic reports) are processed in memory during the session and are not retained.

Pequliar is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA. The Service does not collect, store, or transmit Protected Health Information (PHI).

• To provide the Service (amenability predictions and ASO designs).
• To process payments and deliver design reports.

Pequliar uses one authentication cookie (site_auth) for basic site access. No analytics cookies or tracking cookies are used. The frontend uses browser session storage (cleared when the tab closes) for temporary state such as access codes and file upload consent. No data persists in the browser after the session ends.

Pequliar uses the following third-party services:

• PayPal — Payment processing and invoicing. Subject to PayPal’s Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI language model used for chat-based mutation analysis and target reasoning. Chat messages are sent to Anthropic’s API for processing. Subject to Anthropic’s Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — Frontend hosting. Subject to Vercel’s Privacy Policy.
• Railway — Backend hosting.
• Resend — Email delivery for design reports. If email delivery is requested, the email address is passed to Resend for transmission only and is not stored by Pequliar.

Pequliar does not sell data to third parties.

Request logs and design run logs are retained in the backend database for operational purposes. Chat messages, uploaded files, and design report content are not stored beyond the active session.

Pequliar implements reasonable technical measures to protect data in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
